Eugene Delacroix was in charge of
decorating what is now called the Chapel of Holy Angels, unfortunately he was
seriously ill and unable to make the long daily trip from his studio on rue
Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. Determined to complete his commission, he moved to a
studio on the rue de Furstenberg in 1857. This is now the location of the
Delacroix museum, which, thanks to the efforts of the Society of Eugene Delacroix,
has been faithfully restored to the way it looked when the artist was in residence.
Less an exhibition of his work, this is a museum in the true sense of the word,
displaying and conveying the life and times of Eugene
Delacroix. Admission is 22 FF for adults, 15 FF for children.
